Akasaka Tsutsui

Beautiful Japanese ambience with very good value lunch set. We love the interior decor of this place. One side of the restaurant is just floor to ceiling glass looking out to a beautiful Japanese garden with small waterfall and maple trees. Really really pleasing to the eye. We had their lunch specials and it was very good. The 1500 JPY lunch set came with a lot of small dishes (meat patty, tempura prawn etc...). The other 2000 JPY set is the signature beef bowl. It was also good but the beef slices were very thin so I couldn’t taste much of the beef. So I think the 1500 JPY set was a better order.

I always go there for their pork curry. It’s sweet, with a deep taste and it’s full of chucks of meat.

Very expensive, but beef was amazingly soft!

It’s hard to find omelette rice with ketchup nowadays and this place services their omelette rice with ketchup! The omelette was so fluffy and great! The portion is on the smaller side so people that would like to get completely stuffed should maybe order an appetizer or a dessert at the end. :)

Nice food, very well presented.

It's a bit pricey, but ambiance is good and food is yummy! I liked the beef bowl and the grilled fish. Not so much of a fan of their sauted fish though, I feel like there's too much butter. Service is nice too, but it's sometimes difficult to call someone's attention while seated. I think people just normally shout "sumimasen" to call the waiter but I'm too shy to do that lol. You can also order food for takeout, but they won't include the miso soup anymore. The reception is nice and very accommodating.I also order the beef bowl for takeout sometimes. It's yummy!

Great bottle of Japanese white wine, mixed salad, grilled scallops and the house special beef rice. Superb food in a superb location

Japanese comfort food in a great part of town right next to the US Embassy residences . Great bento boxes but the Croquettes stand out
